We enjoy traveling all over the US but love the Wilmington area most of all. We are located in the monkey junction area of Wilmington on the Carolina Beach side of town. Tom has over a decade of photography experience using light to document subjects for a wide range of different image genres. The photography school Tom attented is one of the best in the country teaching all aspects of photography no matter what the subject matter. Today Tom spends his weekends year-round shooting wedding photography. His summer weekdays are generally on the beaches of North Carolina from Atlantic Beach to Myrtle Beach SC photographing families, children, maternity portraits, pet portraits, bridal portraits, high school seniors portraits, and engagement sessions. During the winter weeks beach photography is less in demand allowing Tom to focus on keeping his commercial photography and videography skills sharp. That's right, Tom offers video services as well. Tom has called Eastern North Carolina home his whole life. Being a professional photographer in Wilmington, NC for so long in addition to growing up in New Bern NC has given him a solid foundation in knowing what this area has to offer. Some of our favorite places for engagement photography, wedding photography and portrait photography are Bald Head Island, Wrightsville Beach, Kure Beach, Topsail Island, and Ocean Isle. Less often but with equal beauty and enjoyment are Holden Beach, Oak Island, Southport, Sunset Beach, Surf City, North Topsail Beach, Sneads Ferry, Myrtle Beach SC, Leland and Castle Hayne.

Wilmington NC
The Wilmington area offers a wide range of portrait and wedding locations. The beautiful downtown river front area has been a key location for photography in wilmington from the first day I moved to Eastern North Carolian after attending photography school. If you are not looking for a city scape backdrop or for a less urban atmosphere in general, Greenfield Lake is wonderful providing beautiful folliage for 5 miles around a surreal lake enviornment. Wilmington's Greenfield Lake offers a nice alternative to beach locations and the downtown urban backdrop. You might also consider Arlie Gardens where we do many wilmington weddings or the Arboretum where we have photographed many children, families and bridal portraits. The areas Wilmington has to offer are simply breath taking.

The more well known backdrops are the rocks, shoreline oak trees, marsh area piers and hills around Fort Fisher and Kure Beach. Wrightsville Beach has beautiful dunes at the Shell Island access or you might want to shoot around the dunes to the south at the Wrightsville Beach State Park. Whatever your location in Eastern NC, we can help you capture photographs that exceed your expectations.

North Topsail, Surf City, Topsail Island and Topsail Island Beaches are beautiful for family portrait photography. The Topsail State Park at the south end of Topsail Island has proven to be a wonderful backdrop when wind is a prohibitive factor on the ocean side of the island.

Holden Beach has my heart for being one of the prettiest beaches I've seen in Eastern North Carolina. The endless field of dunes and sea oats at the west end of the island are simply breathtaking for photography.

Bald Head Island, Bald Head is essentially a photo play ground. Everywhere I look on this island I see beauty. Some of my favorite spots are on South Beach around the captains cabins and the marsh areas just past east beach. The waves crashing off east beach in back of the shoals club make for a very impressive background on the right day.

Ocean Isle Beach , Ocean Isle NC is one of our frequent locations for family portrait photography. We shoot all over Ocean Isle documenting the joy and excitement families have when vacationing to this beautiful island.

South Port NC, South Port is a beautiful place for wedding photography or to pass through on your way to Bald Head Island. The local community center has been a joy to work at over the years.

The Beaches of NC are beautiful for many genres of photography. One of my favorites is Senior Portraits. Photographing seniors consists of a wide range of photography in itself. Some seniors want me to photograph and document their abilities, some want a simple memory with their favorite pet, others want to wear their favorite outfits showing a sense of style, or maybe we'll brainstorm together to create a work of art. Every senior I work with brings out my best abilities. Every year seniors become more advanced in their skills, trends and outlook on the future. They challenge me and make me want to progress while creating the perfect image; an image to show the world who they really are.
